MSAD #31 is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the IT Director/Data Specialist position. This position is responsible for the accurate collection, maintenance, manipulation, and reporting of data for district and state reporting as well as working with teachers to integrate technology into classroom instruction. Approximately 450 students are enrolled in MSAD #31, which consists of three schools: Enfield Station School (PK-5), Hichborn Middle School (6-8) and Penobscot Valley High School (9-12). The distinctiveness of the district is characterized by the community spirit and support for our schools and the commitment to providing a quality education for all students that has been sustained over decades.
MSAD #31 is a unique rural district that serves the towns of Edinburg, Enfield, Howland, Maxfield, and Passadumkeag. The district is located approximately 35 miles north of Bangor and the Central Office and Middle/High School complex are less than two miles from Exit 217 of Interstate 95.
This is a full-time position to begin July 1, 2025.
The successful candidate will:

Be knowledgeable in the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of the district's network infrastructure, server environments, and enterprise systems

Have a high degree of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to supporting the district's educational mission through reliable and secure technology solutions

Be able to design, deploy, configure, and maintain a robust and secure district-wide network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and Wi-Fi networks

Be knowledgeable responsible for the accurate collection, maintenance, manipulation, and reporting of data for district and state reporting
Qualification requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field.

Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, MCSE, CompTIA Network+) are strongly preferred.

Maine Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) approval is required.
