Are you passionate about helping individuals achieve their education and career goals? Join us as a HOPE/PaS Pathway Navigator, where you’ll support participants in the Higher Opportunity for Pathways to Employment (HOPE) and Parents as Scholars (PaS) programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a liaison between the Department of Health and Human Services - DHHS and program participants, ensuring access to resources and support funds
- Assist with program paperwork, documentation, and compliance requirements—accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
- Guide students attending the University of Southern Maine, Southern Maine Community College, and York County Community College.
- Navigate post-secondary institutions, financial aid, academic policies, and student support services to effectively guide participants.
- Provide face-to-face support two days per week at colleges and workforce training sites.
- Work remotely when not in the field.
- Complete formal training on HOPE and PaS programs, with mentorship support.
Who We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in human services, education, social services, or a related field.
- Two years of experience supporting students in overcoming barriers to education.
- Strong administrative, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of post-secondary systems, including admissions, financial aid, and academic support.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Must have or be eligible for Maine CHRC approval.
