We are seeking two Preschool Teachers to work in our preschool classrooms, (we currently have two openings), with children ages 3-5 years. As a teacher you will work in collaboration with the Lead Teachers and Floaters to help plan engaging activities, monitor health and safety, and observe and document child develpoment using the Teaching Strategies Gold assessment system. We are seeking energetic, responsible, fun and caring professionals to become part of our legacy in serving the Greater Portland community for over 100 years. The successful canidates will have experience in classroom management, a ken understanding of ages and stages and experience assessing children's development. Excellent wriiten and oral skills required for maintaining strongrelationships with families. Knowledge using Teaching Stategies Gold assessmen system is a plus. We are a natuionally-accredited program, knowledge and experience with NEAYC accreditation program is also a plus. Starting rate of pay will be determined by the MRTQ, (Maine Roads to Quality), level as well as years of experience. A degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is preferred.
