POSITION TITLE: Accounts Payable Processor
REPORTS TO: CDS Fiscal Director
SALARY RANGE: $15.64 - $23.14 per hour
This is a 40 hour per week, calendar year position at our CDS State Office in Augusta. Hybrid remote schedule is possible following a training period.
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
Process accounts payable invoices in a centralized accounting office utilizing a centralized web database system (CINC). Applying specific program rules in determining acceptable accounts payable invoices to be paid or rejected. Communicate with CDS sites and providers (vendors) explaining the reason(s) for your course of action. Cross-train within the Accounting Department to maintain department stability.
REPRESENTATIVE TASKS include, but are not limited to:
- Enter and process accounts payable invoices using CINC database system
- Enter necessary information to process invoice(s) or reject the invoice(s)
- Communicate with CDS sites and providers explaining the reason(s) for your course of action
- Confer with AP Specialist on problem invoices and determine a correct course of action in handling the invoices
- Cross-train within the Accounting Department – AR, GL, etc.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- One year Accounts Payable experience
- One year of accounting/bookkeeping experience
- One year working with computerized accounting system
- One year working with Excel and/or Access
- Attention to Detail and Team Player
- Worked in a Confidential Setting.
- Effective Communication skills
