Washington Academy is seeking a highly motivated candidate for our position of Early College Learning Assistant - Residential. This position begins at the start of 2025-2026 school year.
The Early College Learning Assistant - Residential at Washington Academy plays a vital role in supporting students who are taking Early College courses as part of their WA learning experience. Through a range of tasks that facilitate the smooth operation of the Early College Programs, this role ensures that students are supported in successfully carrying out their Early College course requirements at a variety of colleges and universities, primarily the University of Maine system, the Maine Community College system, Husson University, and Thomas College as well as online courses for students pursuing independent AP courses not taught in person at WA.
This is a position for an individual who would like to live and work in a private secondary school setting with boarding and day students. Job duties during school days follow this position description while support and supervision of students happens in the afternoon and evening. While there is a rotation schedule of who is on duty, the Early College Learning Assistant - Residential is living in community with students and fellow staff members in a dorm setting.
