Special Education Teacher (Resource Room) Math & Literacy GJM

George J Mitchell School (K-3), Waterville, ME is seeking a Special Education Resource Room Teacher to join our dedicated team for the 24/25 school year. Successful candidates must hold a State of Maine Special Education Certification. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Promote student learning and engagement by developing and delivering lessons in mathematics, reading, and writing based on appropriate instructional goals and ongoing assessments. 

• Fulfill case-management responsibilities, such as writing comprehensive IEPs, in compliance with state and district timelines and procedures.

• Work as a team player who is willing to collaborate and consult with the team to implement an IEP that meets the needs of each student. 

• Encourage parental involvement in students' education and ensure effective communication with students and parents.

Salary Range:  $42,300.00-$89,107.94 with a competitive benefits package.
