The Adams School in Castine is seeking a guidance counselor to work two days a week with students in grades Pre-K to 8. The chosen candidate will join an experienced and talented staff, instructing well-behaved and engaged students, in a culture of high achievement. This position will include a mix of whole class lessons, small group work, and short term 1:1 sessions as needed.
The Adams School is a small pre-k to 8th grade public school, supported financially and practically by the appreciative Castine community. This is an opportunity to work in a setting largely unimpeded by many of the challenges facing public schools today.
Candidates must possess or be eligible for Maine Department of Education School Counselor certification (Endorsement 075), and current Maine Department of Education CHRC (fingerprinting).
