Specific Job Details:

This is a part-time year-round position working with our diverse population of adult learners as a CNA Instructor. We are seeking a dedicated and motivated professional to join our team. The CNA Instructor will be responsible for delivering high-quality classroom instruction and hands-on training to students enrolled in our Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program. This role involves curriculum development, student assessment, and collaboration with clinical partners to ensure that our program meets state and industry standards. The ideal candidate is passionate about teaching, possesses strong clinical expertise, and is committed to developing the next generation of healthcare professionals. Biddeford Adult Education is a community-based program offering a wide range of academic, vocational, and enrichment courses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instruction & Training:Deliver engaging classroom lectures and hands-on lab sessions covering CNA core competencies, including patient care, infection control, and communication skills. Demonstrate practical skills and techniques, ensuring students gain the necessary competencies for clinical success.
  • Student Support & Advising: Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and success.
  • Collaboration & Compliance: Work collaboratively with clinical partners and administrative staff to maintain program standards. Ensure compliance with state licensing requirements, accreditation standards, and institutional policies. Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to program improvements.
Qualifications
  • Current unencumbered RN license to practice in the State of Maine.
  • Two years of experience as an RN and one year as an RN in a long-term care facility.
  • Experience and/or training in instructional education with adult learners.
  • Experience or training with and ability to organize, direct, and instruct.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet educational requirements.
  • Basic digital literacy skills.
