Falmouth Middle School is looking for a collaborative middle school teacher to join our dynamic Unified Arts Team as an Extended Teacher Substitite to fill an art position from October 7 - November 22, 2024. Candidates should have successful experience teaching or working with students at the Middle School level as well as an understanding of the middle school learner.
The duties of this position will include:
- Teaching middle school Art classes, grades 6-8 every day
- Maintaining accurate records on student data and communicating regularly with teachers and families
- Implement school’s SEL curriculum as an advisor to a group of middle school students
- Attend regular team, staff, and content planning meetings
Qualifications / Certifications / Experience / Degree requirement
- A valid Maine Department of Education teaching certificate with the Visual Arts K-12 (620) endorsement is required (or the equivalent).
- Experience working with middle school students is preferred
- Approved background check (run by the district)
Pay will be $165/day, with valid teacher certification.
