JOIN our TEAM - KIDS RSU2.  A number of openings for ed. Techs in special education.  Work with dedicated staff and fantastic students. Openings in DES - 1, HDES-1,HDMS-4, HDHS– 1, MMS – 3.

SUMMARY:  To assist professional educators with the instruction of assigned students in order to support them to become more independent in their educational programs.

Ed Tech I:  EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Educational Technician I Authorization (021), NCLB Requirement (028) and CHRC Approval Certificate

Ed Tech II:  EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Two [2] years of post-secondary education or a combination equivalent to 60 hours of approved study in an educationally related field; or for vocational education, two [2] years of paid applied employment within the field of assignment.  Educational Technician II Authorization (022), NCLB Requirement (028) and CHRC Approval Certificate

Ed Tech III:  EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Must have 90 hours of approved college credits Educational Technician III Authorization (023), NCLB Requirement (028) and CHRC Approval Certificate

QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to function in a highly structured program that utilizes a variety of instructional techniques; ability to implement positive support plans based on ABA principles; manage and support behavior with consistent positive interventions based on skill building using positive and proactive strategies; ability to accurately record data on child’s progress; successfully complete Safety Care training; be able to bend, kneel and lift up to 40 lbs; able to work as part of a strong cohesive team; ability to work with students across a variety of settings; ability to work with students individually and in small groups delivering instruction towards meeting IEP goals; demonstrates reliability and dependability; demonstrates ability to be a self-starter. Candidates will be assigned to match program and student needs. 

START DATE: August 2024

SALARY: Based on Ed Tech and Teacher experience.

Ed Tech I:  TBD Pay range: $14.51/hour (step 0-1) - $21.03 (step 17).

Spec Ed Tech II:  TBD Pay range:  $18.36/hour (step 0-1) - $26.17/hour (step 17).

Spec Ed Tech III: TBD Pay range:  $19.77/hour (step 0-1) - $28.21/hour (step 17)
