Description

The Maine Central Institute Registrar / Student Data Coordinator performs a wide variety of tasks to assist the efficient operations within the school. The registar promotes positive public relations with all district offices and maintains accurate records for the Academic Office pertaining to student information (domestic & international), registration, schedules, attendance, grades, test scores, files, and any other related information. The ideal candidate will assist in the coordination of technology by offering student data management systems assistance and training for the school, district, and state. The Registrar / Student Data Coordinator will work in conjunction with the Head of School, Dean of Academics, Director of Admissions, Assistant Director of Admissions, Dean of Students, Athletic Director and Attendance Secretary.

The preferred candidate will have prior knowledge of PowerSchool, PowerTeacher, Parent Portal, Infinite Campus, Naviance, and Instant Alert. The ability to work with Microsoft and Apple.

Reports to: Dean of Academics

Job Summary: A senior administrative assistant position who collaborates closely with many constituents across the world to maintain accurate student data systems in support of the mission and values of Maine Central Institute.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Acting as a secretary / administrative assistant for the MCI Academic Office
  • Using a variety of computer programs and data programming in an educational setting. 
  • Perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percents, and / or ratios; read a variety of manuals.
  • Knowledge of school and state law
  • Ability to assist others in preparing reports and related data for student records.
  • Knowledge of proper correspondence / communication, setup, and etiquette in hardcopy, vocal, and email.

Qualification Requirements: 

 

  • Associate Degree or equivalent of a minimum of three years of related educational work experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to get along with co-workers and other school community members
  • Desire to continue career improvement
