Maine School Administrative District #42 is located in Aroostook County, Maine and is approximately 20 minutes south of Presque Isle, Maine. The district serves the towns of Mars Hill and Blaine, with tuitioned students from Bridgewater and E. Plantation. The district serves approximately 400 students. This district is comprised of an elementary school housing PK-6 students and a junior-senior high school housing students in grades 7-12.
The district employs approximately 85 people committed to educational excellence for all students within a safe and healthy school environment. We have a dedicated group of teachers, administrators, and support staff that work diligently to help students excel academically, while becoming confident, self-reliant young adults.We strive to build a strong partnership with the home and community that will help students reach their full potential.
Over 95 percent of Central Aroostook students continue their education at the post high school level in either a two-year, four-year college program and/or certificate or industry credential. Our co-curricular programs offer students an opportunity to build success beyond the classroom that will empower them to become responsible citizens and life-long learners.
